Garrett's Games 140 - Boss Kito & Game Nights

A quick episode with grades looming and BGG.con next week!

I spend a few minutes talking about the new Michael Schacht game Boss Kito (fun filler in a larger than necessary box), then Shelley and I talk about the Game Night we ran Friday with primarily non-gamers.  Somewhat successful, but fewer games than planned were played.

Enjoy, and we'll see you at BGG.con!

Thanks for another great podcast Doug. I wish I could be going to BGG.CON as well. I was wondering which of the new Essen releases will stand the test of time? Space Alert makes me think it might go the way of Space Dealer and not Galaxy Trucker. Well, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks, Dan.  Sorry you couldn't make it.  You MAY be right about Space Alert, but I think it has more staying power than Space Dealer.  The latter, partly due to its competitive nature and partly due to the "hurry up and wait" problem due to the timers, just doesn't have that "let's play this one again right now" feeling that I think is present in Space Alert.  We'll have to see how people like it on repeated plays AND (if they don't have a sound system handy) without the soundtrack.
